Ramayana Bridge

NASA Images Discover Ancient Bridge between India and Sri Lanka

Space images taken by NASA reveal a mysterious ancient bridge in the Palk Strait between India and Sri Lanka. The recently discovered bridge currently named as Adam's Bridge is made of chain of shoals, c.18 mi (30 km) long. The bridge's unique curvature and composition by age reveals that it is man made. The legends as well as Archeological studies reveal that the first signs of human inhabitants in Sri Lanka date back to the a primitive age, about 1,750,000 years ago and the bridge's age is also almost equivalent.

This information is a crucial aspect for an insight into the mysterious legend called Ramayana, which was supposed to have taken place in treta yuga (more than 1,700,000 years ago).

In this epic, there is a mentioning about a bridge, which was built between Rameshwaram (India) and Srilankan coast under the supervision of a dynamic and invincible figure called Rama who is supposed to be the incarnation of the supreme.

This information may not be of much importance to the archeologists who are interested in exploring the origins of man, but it is sure to open the spiritual gates of the people of the world to have come to know an ancient history linked to the Indian mythology.

Infrastructure development

Recently the Government of India has approved a multi-million dollar Sethusamudram Shipping Canal Project that aims to create a ship channel across the Palk Strait. The plan is to dredge the shallow ocean floor near the Dhanushkodi end of the Rama's bridge to create enough leeway allowing ships to pass through the channel instead of having to go around the island of Sri Lanka. It is expected to save nearly 30 hours' shipping time by cutting over 400 km off the voyage. However, efforts to conserve the heritage of the bridge has been initiated under the Ram Karmabhoomi movement.

Controversy

Rama’s heritage, including the holy city of Rameshwaram is under jeopardy from the launch of the Sethusamudram Canal Project. Though the historical significance of Rama’s bridge, has not been proved by NASA, the photos clearly depict the presence of a bridge connecting India and SriLanka. The construction of a canal will destroy this bridge. It is also argued that design of the canal is likely to invite a tsunami that could wash out Rameshwaram, similar to the manner in which Poompuhar was washed away.

Ram Karmabhoomi - Diabolical move to destroy Rama's heritage

The determined moves made by the Central Government to build the Sethusamudaram canal by cutting across Rama's Bridge (also called the Adams Bridge) has far-reaching implications and detrimental effects for all Hindus:
  1. The priceless heritage in the form of Rama's Bridge (also called Adams Bridge) is to be removed altogether.
  2. Rameshwaram, which is one of the holiest locations for Hindus, will get submerged like Dhanushkodi, which got submerged in the 1960s and like Poompuhar, which got submerged in the Sangam period.
  3. Just like some of the classical Greek and Egyptian treasures and heritage are being excavated in the West from below the sea, there is a strong possibility for excavation of the Poompuhar heritage. But this will be lost if the Sethusamudaram canal comes up.
  4. Destroying the barrier between the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea is likely to result in severe climatic changes such that the very pattern of monsoon rainfall in India could get altered for the worse. Does not the spirit of Hinduism enjoin us to live in harmony with nature, rather than play with it and jeopardise the very future of Bharatvarsha?
  5. In the assessment of Dr.T.S.Murty, leading tsunami expert, the project could cause a tsunami with drastic consequences for the entire shoreline extending from Dhanushkodi to Ernakulam, and from the Delft Island to Colombo.
  6. And the icing on the cake is that the Union Surface Transport and Shipping Minister, Shri.T.R. Baalu has roped in Islamic forces represented by the Suez Canal Authority, headquartered in Islamia, Egypt to provide collaboration in demolishing the Adams Bridge and to build the canal like the Suez Canal.

Anti-Hindu Forces

The range of forces that are working to expedite the Sethusamudaram project are:
  1. DMK, PMK, MDMK and other pro-LTTE parties that are part of the UPA government.
  2. West European forces.
  3. Atheist forces like the communists.

a good response to a weak ass-licking article:

With all respect to everyone, many educated scientists and other scholarly people may call themselves' experts, be acclaimed by others and so on.....howver the fact is...science is based on discovery....they support the evidence they have and then when they find something new they condemn the last discovery or not and so on....I urge you to ask the scientist the most simple question, why we have a monday, tuesday and wednesday? If he does not kno this, why be a scientist or other educated rascal? If he knows the answer to the question then answer the next one [at the end of this segment]
the whole vedic religion is the oldest in this world. That is a fact, a muslim, chirstian, jew etc will not argue. It is the most detailed of all religions, hence we have many scriptures, superceding that of all the others. The Scientist has changed his story many times, we have never changed ours. Science is nothing when it comes down to phenomena such as the milk-miracle which gripped 6 continents of this material world in September 1995. They say capillary action did the miracle. I say try feeding a "statue" now with milk or water, you will see it does not consume the liquid fluently. You will see, mark my words, that this palk strait bridge, Lord Ramacandra's bridge will be proved, and when it is proved, the whole question of what scientists have achieved, regarding evolution, archaeology etc will be thrown into the air.

And that question is why was there a vedic/hindu milk miracle on september 19th 1995 where "statues" around the goble were consuming gallons of milk offered by EVERYONE OF ALL CREEDS?

Question:

After these images came out in 2002, why is the Indian and Western media so deaf on such an amazing discovery?  Is an epical 30 km long bridge floating in the ocean not worthy of attention and research?

Answer:

The anti-Hindu ass-lickers cannot prove that this bridge could have naturally evolved, so they try to divert it's attention from the Hindu masses until they can destroy it by building a canal.

"Miracles like Ganesha drinking the milk come as a healthy blow to the human intellect.  Such incidents stir us out of our deep sleep, at least for a time.  It serves as a shock treatment, a wake-up call.  An unknown power, beyond the reach of the intellect, constantly maintains a balance in the universe.  Those who have experienced it say this power is all-pervading, all-knowing and all-powerful.  If God is omnipotent, is there anything He cannot do?  If He chooses to drink milk through the statue of Lord Ganesha, it is all His divine play."

"A man without spiritual wisom is like a frog in a well.  The frog thinks its dark, damp well is the entire universe.  It never leaps out into the light.  In the same way a man who has never developed his spiritual awareness thinks this world is the whole of reality.  He dies in ignorance, never having seen the light."

"The mind is in a constant state of agitation, and the tranquility is only possible through the cultivation of contentment.  But contentment should not lead to slackening of effort.  Rather effort should stem from a sense of duty and service instead of from discontent."

"The gods need our help as much as the Sun needs us to hold up a candle to light its way.  The real reason we make offerings to the gods is to cultivate the spirit of self-sacrifice.  We contemplate the divine qualities of the gods and goddesses in order to become more like them, generous, pure and selfless."

"Not to do what you feel like doing is freedom."
